All your password manager data is encrypted and stored in two certified data centres in Switzerland in accordance with the FINMA (Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority) statutes. Thanks to integrated HTTPS and AES-256 encryption, you can also securely access your passwords from outside Switzerland.
The SecureSafe password manager has been designed so that only you have access to your data and passwords. Our developers can neither access nor decrypt your login data. Therefore, when setting up a SecureSafe account, it is important to print out the recovery code and keep it in a safe place in case the password is forgotten.
Our servers are located in former military bunkers of the Swiss Army, among other places. To ensure the utmost protection of your data and passwords, we service our own hardware infrastructure at all server locations, which can only be accessed by our own system engineers. SecureSafe provides users with two-step authentication (2FA, mobile TAN). For this login procedure, SecureSafe relies on the "Secure Remote Password Protocol" (RFC 2945).
